Boxwood dieback #819887

Asked February 07, 2023, 12:49 PM EST

The boxwoods I had planted four years ago are all dying back. The ends of the branches are browning but the core of the bushes are still green. I have nine round and mountain boxwoods that have shown these symptoms for the last year and now the dee rink boxwood is starting to show what might be the same symtoms.

Image 1097 shows winter damage.  We had a warm fall and then a went into very cold temperatures in early December without a real transition.  I am seeing cold damage on a variety of plants, particularly boxwood.  Did you prune these in 2022?  If so when?

From image 1102 I see some insect damage from boxwood mites.  I may also see some damage from leaf miners, but I can't really tell from the photo.

Can you submit a physical sample to our office for further diagnosis?
