Honeycrisp apple tree problem #819635

Hello. - Attached are external and internal photos of some of our Honeycrisp apples from last fall. What is causing this and what can we do about it? Thank you

You likely had apple maggots. Clean up of apple debris is important as the larvae pupate in the ground in the winter. During the growing season there are numerous control options. Below is a link that gives details on each.
