What animal is eating my lawn and making a trail through it? #817009

Hi. I had a house sitter all summer in my NE Mpls home while I worked out of state. Now that I am back home in Minnesota and saw a lot of bare spots--it has NEVER looked so bad--totally void of grass. Also, I went to North Shore for Thanksgiving and got back to see the tracks through lawn in first 3 pictures in the pdf doc. Last 5 pics are of the bare spots. Do you think one animal is doing this? I guess the troughs could be from the quick melt over Thanksgiving (again I was up north so I didn't watch what happened.)

I only received the first 3 pictures.  That is the amount allowed on this app.  Frankly, I can't see what you are talking about.  Everything seems to meld together.  As far as the bare spots in your lawn, the continuing drought has caused a lot of problems.  Depending on your soil type, sun/shade, watering practices it could be any number of things.  For now please go to our landscape section and read through it so you will be prepared in the spring to attack the problem(s).  Nothing can be done this time of year.
