Pressure gauge testing is available at the Linn County Extension Office (33630 McFarland Rd, Tangent). Call for additional information and availability<personal data hidden>. They don't usually check seals, but they may be able to determine if they are worn out. If they are not cracked or brittle, they are all right. You can do a test run with just water and see if the canner works properly. If there is leakage, and the canner does not build up pressure they probably need a new seal.
Canner parts are available at Bi-Mart in Albany and Lebanon, and Wilco in Lebanon. Robnett Hardware in Corvallis will check the seals and they have the parts. Other hardware stores may provide this service, but you should call ahead to check.
