I have a recipe for cherry balsamic bbq sauce from an untested source. I can’t seem to find anything similar on any tested sites( ie USDA) . I’m running out of freezer space so I’d like to can it( pressure or waterbath) . Do you know of a similar cherry based sauce or does this look safe to you?

Hi Janet,
Unfortunately I was not able to find anything similar from tested/validated recipes either. I cannot determine whether a recipe that is different from tested sources is safe, without product testing being conducted. Ball Book of Canning is considered to be a safe source and sometimes their materials have some variation in traditional recipes.
