Hydrangeas #813454

Asked October 06, 2022, 7:37 PM EDT

I planted 3 hydrangeas 2 week’s ago. The leaves have been drooping on one. I measure with my finger how dry the soil is around. They seem to be watered well. I noticed some leaves starting to turn yellow, is it just the temperature’s & the transplanting Or problem with the watering?

I noticed that you recently submitted a similar question which was answered. It seems there was a typo when you entered your email, so I'm guessing you didn't receive the response. I've copied it below.

It's possible that part of what you are seeing is transplanting stress or shock from the cold. This would be especially likely if these hydrangeas were recently in a warm greenhouse. It also appears that the hydrangeas were planted a bit shallow as roots are visible on the surface of the soil. I'd recommend covering the roots with soil and then mulching around the plants to help moderate the soil temperature and retain moisture.

I've included some additional information on care and protecting your plants during the winter.
