Cover crops between rows in Christmas trees #813350

Asked October 06, 2022, 12:23 AM EDT

I have read a number of your articles regarding weed management in Christmas trees. I am interested in trying a cover crop in the strips between rows. One of the articles mentions sub clover, grass, hard fescue, or dwarf cultivars such as Aurora Gold and Soil Guard. I have a couple of acres on Parrett Mountain in Sherwood at about 1000' elevation. Crop management by mowing and spot herbicide is preferred. Do you have specific cover crops that you would recommend?
