Large (50m) tree growing on AA County floodplain in back of my house. Feather shaped leaves, hard round greenish/yellow spherical fruits in Aug/Sep. Can you please give me the name?

It's hard to tell without photos of the foliage and/or nuts/fruits, but this sounds like a Black Walnut, or possibly one of the Hickories, all native shade trees with good wildlife value.
