bugs on house plants that were outside and I want to bring inside #811930

I have attached three pictures of my Schefflera plant that has been outside all summer. I noticed the small white worm looking bug on this plant but also my hibuscus plant that I have been wintering. Is there a specific Pesticide (don't usually use them) or something else that I can do before bringing them in? Should I repot them with fresh soil? I have many inside plants that I take out and then winter and really don't want to infest them all. Thank you for your time. Deb Carpentier <personal data hidden>

Your insect might be mealy bugs but it is not clear enough to identify for certain.  However, no matter the insect, the same routine applies to all as given in this link:
