Dogwood Leaves #811873

Asked September 22, 2022, 7:00 PM EDT

I have two dogwood trees, one is a Japanese dogwood. The leaves are curling in from the sides to the center. I thought it might be because of the lack of rain, but an arborist told me what was wrong, and I meant to write it down, and then forgot.

I think I added the photo properly.  Let me know if it didn't work, and I will try again.

Thanks.

Thank you for your question.   I suspect that your arborist diagnosed leaf scorch, which is described here:  https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/dogwood-cornus-spp-leaf-scorch
Please read the ways you can avoid this next year, and you probably won't need any chemical treatments.  Good luck!
