Hi Lynne Marie,
Question #0081798 has been assigned to you by McKenzie H.
Apple TreeHi! I'm interested in planting a second apple tree. I have one yellow delicious that is doing well: it's partially self fertile plus several neighbors have apple trees. I'd like to have my own/better source of pollination, tho. Liberty apple tree caught my eye for flavor + disease resistence as well as being available locally, but I'm confused over it's pollination needs. Different sources online list it as diploid or triploid. Since I need a pollinator for my current tree, triploid wouldn't work for me. In your experience, is Liberty a good pollinator in this situation or should I keep looking? Thank you! Carissa Henderson Salem, OR
