In this ask extension link the lady states you can omit the tomatoes, onions, and garlic all together?! I thought you had to keep ingredients the same but could only sub out types of peppers? It’s safe to omit those items??

If you can omit them, then can you change how much? So, instead of 3 cans of tomatoes can you use just one?
