Bug Bites. Help! #809402
Asked September 04, 2022, 12:44 PM EDT
We have got bug bites for months, but still don't know what bug it is! At first it's only 1 or 2 every few days and we thought it might be from playing outside. But now it's getting worse. We don't have pets, but do have wild cats around the backyard.
Ever since the bites, we have been wearing long pants and socks, but the bites still appear on back, neck, face, even scalps I believe! Dad doesn't feel anything. Kids got very tiny red bites on them, ithy. Mom got worst bites, big bumps with blister in the middle after couple days, very ithy! It's weird that many bites occur on skins that are covered by pant and clothes.
We've been vacuuming everyday, and wash our bed stuff regularly. No apparent improvement.
Our friend suggested us to make some bed bug interceptors around bed legs to see if we have bed bugs. We finally found something suspicious.
Could you please help take a look at the photos? Really want to know what bugs are biting us.
Thank you!

Sorry to hear about your issue. Is this only taking place inside? The insect in the one picture looks like a springtail. They occasionally show up indoors. They don't bite. Has anyone come into contact with any plants?
I believe they are inside, since mom always get up in the morning to find new itchy bites. But she does a lot of gardening outside.
It's getting worse these days. A lot of bites apeared around waist line, where is always covered by clothes.
We took the beds apart and still can't find any sign of bugs. So frustrating!
I am sorry I can't do anything for you. I don't recognize the skin marks, and the one insect you caught wouldn't bite. Have you had a pest control operator come out and do an inspection?
