What species of goldenrod? #809398

Asked September 04, 2022, 12:08 PM EDT

My neighbor is changing her lawn into a meadow. This plant showed up maybe 2 years ago and is a real pollinator magnet. It grows to at least 5 ft tall. There are lots of them now. We’d like to know what kind of goldenrod. To be honest, yesterday I took 6 pictures of the same plant and my app gave 3 different answers. Time for an expert. Thanks

This looks like it might be Solidago patula. It has the branching habit, slightly greenish-purple angular stem, and rounded serrated leaves plus the small axillary clusters of flowers.  It's also called  Roundleaf Goldenrod.
