Hi, we noticed some rotted spots on one of our butternut squash recently, and are pretty sure it's a fungus. Our squash plants are trellised along a fence, so they're off the ground. Our question is whether we can still eat the squash even though it has the rotted spots, or should we just cut it off and throw it away?
