I found this on 9/1/2022 beneath a beech tree on my property. Any ideas as to what bird this came out of? The lighter is for perspective. Thanks.

That looks like a chicken egg to us.
Maybe you have nearby neighbors that keep them, and either let them free range a bit or a hen is loose and wandering?  It's also possible that another animal took an egg and dropped it where you found it.

Well, that’s embarrassing. That was my initial thought as well. I know of no chickens in the neighborhood. Thanks again for your help.
