What is the name of this plant? It has taken over the ground cover inderneath a row of five aging Pine trees along the back boundary of our house.
I pulled quite a few out by hand yesterday. They have long shallow root systems that run out away from each plant for several feet.

It is nightshade. It is a weed and spreads rapidly. It has lots of seeds so removing it soon will help control it. Deadly nightshade doesn’t grow in MN, but nightshades are a pest.
