Those sources were both interesting and informative, and are well appreciated, but constituted more of a general answer. I'm looking for the names of specific varieties of corn for making fine flour that would be likely to be succesfully grown in Minnesota. My own rather extensive searches turned up next to nothing so far.

It appears that growing corn for flour is quite unusual here, but I'll keep looking and if I come up with some good info, I intend to share it with you as an expression of my appreciation for your efforts.
