geraniums dying in ohio #808001

I have been told by a nursery that I shop at that there is something new attacking geraniums in Ohio. I have lost almost 200 geraniums this year. They seem to do well for a while then start to turn yellow then brown then dead. I have been planting geraniums as annuals for 25+ years and NEVER had an issue usually by August my plants are about 16" in diameter and do very well until there is a hard freeze. I have uploaded some pictures of their state as of mid-August.
I would appreciate any comment on the status (if any) on any research being done about issues with geraniums in 2022.
Thank You
