Hi. We purchased several black beauty eggplant plants from Giant Eagle this spring and all the eggplants are yellow. They do not turn yellow, they start out as green and turn yellow. We've looked at online resources and they onl thing we can find is that they turn yellow when burned by the sun or over ripe. These are well shaded under the leaves and never turn purple. Any thoughts? Did we purchase an Asian yellow eggplant? Does it have some disease or issue? I've attached photos of the plant and the eggplant. Thank you! Mike and Amy Tubergen
