What The Heck Is This #806081

Found this beetle dead outside on my deck and was wondering what it was. The gift card is there for size reference, it's about 3/4 inch. Thank you guys so much for your help!

Hi Liz.
This little beauty is a Cotinis nitida, otherwise called a Green June Beetle. The have one generation per year. The adults lay eggs in the soil and they typically emerge in June of July.
