What's the best way to prevent the invasion (in the house) of boxelder bugs that we had last spring? Thanks!

Expert Response

Hi Bonnie,

The best way to keep them out of the house is by sealing all cracks that allow them to get in. That’s not easy, as they can squeeze through very small holes and cracks.

The bugs are harmless, but can stain surfaces if you squish them. Vacuuming them up is easier.

Here’s a good resource on boxelder bugs.

Good luck!
