Diseased Grapes #805853

Asked August 11, 2022, 5:30 PM EDT

My grapes look like they have a fungus on them.  Will the vines be okay next year?  How do I avoid this happening in the future?

St. Louis County Minnesota

Expert Response

This looks like downy mildew.

Here’s information on that disease:

You can try to prevent this problem next year by cleaning up fallen leaves this year and other cultural practices. Here’s University of Minnesota information on growing healthy grapes:

Good luck!
