I have taken some high resolution images of a blood sucking bug that was caought attached to my poor unwitting son. I am have trouble identifying this bug using your criteria of longer hair near their heads. What do you think -Cimex lectularius vs Cimex adjunctus? I suppose one should consider Oeciacus vicarius or Cimexopsis nyctalis--we do house barn swallows on our house! While I am at it do you have a recommendation for an insect id iPhone app that is say analogous to the spectacular "merlin bird id" app or "picture this" app?
