Photographed this on my exterior wall 2 days ago. Sure looks like a Joro spider.

Thank you for keeping an eye out for invasive species. The spider in your photo is a Yellow Garden Spider (Argiope aurantia). Yellow garden spiders are a common native species in the Willamette Valley and the peak time of year to see them is July - September.
They are in the same family as the Joro spider, but they would be considered distant cousins.
