What kind of tree is this? I'm uploading photos of one that is at Lollipop Lake Park, but I have seen them in other places around Denver. They develop orange berries in the fall and have interesting weathered-looking bark. I believe they have white flowers in the spring. If the tree can be identified, is it a good one for Denver climate and weather?

This tree is a crabapple. The fruit looks almost ornamental in size. There are many varieties with different fruit sizes.
