Ice plants suddenly and dramatically dying - what's up? #803885
Asked July 31, 2022, 2:43 PM EDT
I planted several ice plants at the edge of a pretty crappy bit of ground in May 2021. They've thrived ever since, have been growing like gangbusters, and had gorgeous blooms this year. However, in the last two weeks, they are suddenly and very rapidly dying from the center outward. It's progressing so fast I suspect there's no saving them, but can someone help me pinpoint what's hurting them and whether there's a way to stop it or help prevent it in the future? Other xeric & native plants in this bit of land are doing fine. Pic attached. Thanks.

Expert Response
What has the watering schedule been like? Are there any aphids or spider mites on the plant? The most common problem for ice plant is overwatering. It is hard to diagnose from the picture. You can contact your local county extension office at<personal data hidden> or email <personal data hidden>
