Hello-
This may be beyond the scope of what you all work on, but I have a question that at least somewhat involves plants and my garden so, why not.
I'm planning on putting in a stone patio, and want to leave space between the stones to plant groundcover--creeping thyme or something akin to that (see photo for an example). However, I can't seem to find if setting a patio for that means that I should use less paver base and sand underneath? I don't want the patio to become super uneven, however laying 4" of crushed paver base and an inch of sand under the area and then expecting plants to be able to root down through that seems to be setting myself up for plant and project failure. I'm just not sure who I can talk to that has experience with this sort of thing, and I'm hoping that if you don't know, you may be able to point me in the direction of someone who would?
Thanks,
Craig
