Spider with eggs #801645

What should I do about this spider and eggs?

Thank you for your question and photos. Since it appears that this spider and its young (if you look very closely at the egg sac on the right of each photo, you can see that the tiny babies are emerging) are outdoors, we would recommend that you leave them where they are and not kill them. Spiders are useful and beneficial predators and extremely helpful in keeping populations of many insect pests in check.

Now that the young are emerging from the egg sac, they will soon begin to wander off on their own in search of food and territory. In addition, please note that this spider is not dangerous to humans or pets: the only spider native to Maryland that is is the black widow, which this spider is not.
