Hi I found this caterpillar on my tomato plant. It’s right next toa large dill patch. Can you tell me if this is a friend or foe and I hat type of butterfly or moth it might be from?

Hello,
That is some kind of noctuid caterpillar (Noctuidae) but I don't recognize the species. It looks likes it is munching away on your plant. You can probably just pick them off if there is not too many of them.
