Bean leaves #800727

Asked July 12, 2022, 1:01 PM EDT

Good afternoon, I have vine beans in my garden that have started developing these brown spots. I have been applying "Garden Safe Fungicide 3" every 7 days as a preventative. However, it has not helped the problem. I fear it is spreading to other plants as I have tomato plants right next to the beans and their leaves are beginning to yellow. I've included a picture of the bean leaves. Could you please help me identify what is on the leaves and what I should do to remedy it? Thank you for your help!

It is extremely difficult to diagnose what is wrong with your beans from a photo, however you can use your own observations of all the infected areas and narrow down what is wrong. To confirm the exact cause of the bean leaf damage, you can send a specimen to the OSU Plant Pest and Pathology diagnostic lab. https://ppdc.osu.edu/submit-sample

The issue of your tomato leaves yellowing is an unrelated problem, specific to your tomatoes. Here is a key to help you diagnose possible causes thorough your own observations. http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/DiagnosticKeys/TomLeaf/TomLeafKey.html

Whenever using a chemical control, always follow label directions.
