Potted loquat tree with browning leaves #800476

Asked July 11, 2022, 11:39 AM EDT

I purchased this tree a few months ago. It already had some brown leaves but I figured it just needed a little tlc. It was receiving full sun and I was watering about 1 to 2 times per week. But now all the leaves are brown. I took it to the shade and removed all the leaves. What could it be? Don't want to lose this tree.

Hi! Yes thank you. I removed the brown leaves and have stopped watering and moved it into the shade.

Water only as needed, allow the soil to dry between watering. Give the plant some time to see if new growth emerges.

Thanks,

If I have a question on my lemon tree woukd I need to submit a request?

Also, is it fine for me to leave my loquat where it is? It gets a little morning sun but other than that it's in the shade.

Where the plant is now is fine.

You can give me the peach question or post a new question. Either way works.

Thanks,

This is an improved Meyer lemon grafted. The leaves have curled and I have tried to treat with botanical insecticide. All of the potential fruit fell off except for 2 so far.

Sorry it seems they didn't go through the first time.

Nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. I would check on the planting depth. It looks to be planted too deep in the picture. The graft should be above the soil line.

Thanks,
