Identify white flowering shrub #799432

Asked July 05, 2022, 9:03 AM EDT

Can you identify this flowering shrub ? Though most of the blooms are long gone (dried up) the shrub still has a few fresh blooms. Found in backyard landscaping in Gahanna, Ohio. (Frankin County) Four petaled white flowers are not fragrant. This head cluster was rather small maybe 3" across...dried blooms left on the plant appeared to have been larger and fuller. Shrub was about 4' x 4'.

Lorain County Ohio

Expert Response

Visit your local garden center or OSU Extension Office with a branch and a picture of the entire bush so they can see the height and shape of the shrub. Your office is located at: 42110 Russia Road, Elyria, OH 44035

I am not able to do that as the shrub is located in Gahanna and I am in Lorain County. With gas prices being what they are I am not likely to travel back to Franklin County just to get a cutting then travel yet again to my extension office. I did however provide excellent pictures of the bloom as well as a very detailed description. Thank you.
