The tree has stoped bearing leafs and begin turning.
The bark has split in spots
I’ve treated many ant hills surrounding the tree.
It is my concern, if the tree is diseased, will it spread to other maples on the property ?

Hi Richard, thanks for the question.
This looks like classic maple decline. This is a condition due to multiple factors that causes dieback in maple trees. Disease, injury, pests, site, et al can contribute to the problem. If the other trees are stressed, they could also start declining. Consulting a certified arborist (Find an Arborist (treesaregood.org)) may be helpful. Check out the following link:
