Any advice on how to improve my Kentucky Bluegrass in my backyard as its under a very shaded area...

Not a lot you can do.  The problem is likely a lack of light.  Looks like the trees are trimmed up well.  Since there is less light, this area needs less fertilizer.  Too much fertilizer makes the turf more susceptible to disease.  Cut the amount in half of what you normally put on the rest of the lawn.   What a lot of people do is overseed the shaded are each fall (September).  The turf normally will look good until the next summer as shade increases and heat stress sets in.
