Black spot fungus #798573

Asked June 29, 2022, 1:48 PM EDT

I have a yellow rose bush that is covered in black spot fungus and killing parts of the plant. I do however have tons of new growth on the bush so I am hopeful. I am on week three of spraying a fungalcide on it that contains neem oil which is what all of my Google research suggested. However it doesn’t seem to be working. Can you give me any other things to try so I can hopefully save my plant???

Expert Response

Look for a fungicide that contains chlorothalonil or mancozeb. Either of those should give you good treatment. After several treatments if you are still having trouble, give your local extension office a call. Someone can come out and take a look for you. Good luck!
