Japanese Knot Weed #798122

Asked June 27, 2022, 2:50 PM EDT

I have been looking for a way to control Japanese Knot Weed, everything I have tried knocks down the above ground growth, but the root doesn't die and regrows again. I have tried Round Up, 24D based broad leaf killer and many other weed killers with no good results. I have dug up the root and let it dry out in the sun but there are many locations that that is not an option. Any suggestions?

Hi Russell,

It looks like you have been really working hard to rid your property of Japanese Knotweed.  I have attached 6 links that give you more information on this invasive.  This is a lot of information!  However, the first and second links are from the Vermont Nature Conservancy and are very helpful and give you explicit ways to eradicate the invasive.  It can require multiple years to completely destroy it.  I hope this information helps you!
