Hello, my lawn has several yellow patches in multiple places. I water the lawn and apply fertilizers regularly and I am also doing aeration.
Lawn was established in 2003.
I use Rachio water controller which uses Smart Cycle (Cycle and Soak mode) to water the lawn.

This lawn appears to be nitrogen deficient - in need of fertilization. While you say that you apply fertilizer "regularly", are you certain that you are applying the correct amount each time? Do you match spreader settings on the bag with your spreader?
Similarly, the lawn does look dry. Using a smart controller like the Rachio is a good idea - but doesn't guarantee that the correct amount of water is being applied, nor does a smart controller guarantee uniform water application.
The accompanying information tells how to conduct an informal irrigation audit (gives you an idea of uniformity, as well as total amount of water being applied daily or weekly). With current weather, you should be applying about 1.75 to 2 inches of water weekly. Note that sprinkler run times are determined by sprinkler type (rotor vs popup spray...they are VERY different in runtime requirement!). You likely have to designate sprinkler type in your Rachio controller setup - to get adequate runtimes.
Let me know if you have additional questions!
Thanks,
tony
