Green bee white spots on head #794048

I saw a green bee for the first time. I am wondering what the white spots on the head are. Is this pollen? I will attach a picture. Thanks Nancy Einfeld

Hi Nancy,

That white patch appears to be over on in the eye of that bee. I can't tell what it is though.
