White Pine Disease #792433

Asked May 24, 2022, 1:59 PM EDT

Jayne has a white pine in her yard that shows signs of disease. She would like to know what to do. Can it be saved? If so, how? Does it need to be cut down? If so, how does she have it removed safely so it doesn't infect other trees on her property?

Good Morning,
I can't tell by the photos what is going on.  I suggest you have an arborist come out and look at your trees.  Find an Arborist (treesaregood.org)  They can determine if the tree can be saved and/or help with removing it.  You could also send in a sample
Plant & Pest Diagnostics (msu.edu) to get a diagnosis.  Here are some references for disease of pines.

I hope this helps.  Thanks for using our service.
