Tomato and pepper plant leaf discoloration #792086

Asked May 22, 2022, 5:14 PM EDT

Hi, my tomato and pepper leaves recently started turning a brown/purple on the edge and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do. I’ve attached some pictures and my soil test results from this past winter. Thank you for any help!

Expert Response

I don't believe it is related to the soil test, lack of or excessive nutrients, especially if you made proper corrections to the soil based on test recommendations prior to planting. It is difficult to determine what is going on without more information. But from what we can see in the images the leaves appear to be dried-out along the edges possibly from water stress.

Please contact the Tulsa County OSU Extension Center for additional assistance. They can discuss with you your soil test results, management practices, what has been done to address any issues, and may need physical samples of the plants.
