Chandler Blueberry Fungus? I sure hope not. #791893
Asked May 20, 2022, 10:20 PM EDT
Greetings,
I moved into a home (Milwaukie) in October and because the yard was so overgrown we did not know that we had 5 blueberry plants in the yard. They are about 4 feet high and 2 to 3 feet wide. Someone told me that my blueberries have a fungus, but didn't know much more than that. I sure hope they are wrong. If not, how do I eradicate it?
Thank you for your expertise, your time and your help.
All the best,
Carla

Hello,
To me it looks like some of the leaves have been damaged by the cold weather we had in April. You plants were likely leafing out at that time and some incurred damage.
The new growth is looking good.
If the blooms or fruit develop symptoms or the leaves get worse, then there might be a disease at play. Keep an eye on your plants and compare symptoms to this list of diseases in blueberries: https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-and-disease-descriptions?title=Blueberry
