Terrible Tulip Troubles #790762
Asked May 14, 2022, 1:34 PM EDT
Sone tulips in a a section of my yard appear to have tulip fire fungus. I pulled them, by the bulbs out of the ground to burn in my fire pit. The bulbs look so healthy. Do I really have to get rid of them or is there a way to remove the fungus?
Thanks

Hello Rochelle
Here are some articles on tulip-fire aka botrytis blight

If you think the bulbs are healthy, dry them per the instructions above, destroying all leaves and flowers. Replant in a new location so as to avoid the remaining fungi still in the soil. Follow the care instructions in the above articles and see if your tulips do better next season!
