Hi there, My cauliflower is growing irregularly. Is this a disease? Will I be able to eat this? Thank you.

Expert Response

Hi Kate,

Cauliflower is quite difficult to grow as it requires a consistent, cool temperature of around 60 degree F.  If it get too hot it can prematurely “button”, forming, button-size heads—rather than forming a single, large head. This seems to be what has happened to your plants.

Your cauliflower should, however, still taste OK and is quite safe to eat.

Liz
