Hi John,

You will need a private applicator certification. All of our certification options are available from https://extension.sdstate.edu/private-pesticide-applicator-training. There is a Zoom PAT on Feb. 10 and the focus is on prairie dogs and more west river issues, so you may want to register for that one.

There are additional regulations for applicators in Indian Country - https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-applicator-certification-indian-country/who-needs-apply-pesticide-applicator.

Depending on where you live, you may also be impacted by endangered species restrictions, so make sure to review the map from the EPA at - https://www.epa.gov/endangered-species/bulletins-live-two-view-bulletins.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.
