Ponderous Borer??? #780380

Is this a Ponderous Borer Beetle. I found it in my firewood pile.

Columbia County Oregon

Nice that you got to see one of these! They are common in our area, but I don't see them all that often myself.
Your ID is correct...that is a ponderous borer, Trichocnemis spiculatus.
