House Plant #778320

Asked November 24, 2021, 11:26 AM EST

I am not sure what is going on with my plant. It no longer sits in front of a window could that be an issue? The leaves are slowly dying from the bottom up. How much water should it receive? Any other assistance would be appreciated. I have attached pics of the plant and dead leaves. Thank you.

Hi Viv,

Typically I would look at underwatering or overwatering when the leaves look like this. If the stem itself is soft it is probably over watering.  You did mention that the plant was no longer on the window seal so it may be a combination of things triggered with lower light.  Dracaena needs medium to bright light.  Is it getting this type of light?

Here is a link that may help.

If it is overwatering stop watering it and then re-introduce water very sparingly?  Is it still growing?  Have you fed it recently?

All things for you to consider.  I hope this helps.

Many blessings!
