The rusty-orange tree on the left is either a Baldcypress (Taxodium distichum) or its cousin Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides). If you have the chance to examine foliage up-close, this photo illustrates the differences between them. Both otherwise have a near-identical appearance, stature, and have foliage that turns this orangey color in autumn before shedding.
The tree on the right is a cedar (Cedrus), though we cannot see enough detail to determine which species this is. Below are the possibilities; most varieties of the first two species which are popular and readily available are either blue- or golden-needled, but a green form certainly could have been planted in this case. All non-dwarf varieties like this start out as pyramidal in shape but will become flat-topped with age.
- Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica)
- Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara)
- Cedar of Lebanon (Cedrus libani)
