Hi Susie. I would suggest that you contact the Iowa Geological Society at the University of Iowa. They have a form on the link below that you can send in the sample to have identified. There is also a phone number that you can call to ask questions about the fossil identification and an email where you can send your picture and questions. I hope this helps!
