Several years ago, my husband and I purchased several types of trees from the University of Idaho. Since working at the Malheur County Extension office, I have had several patrons ask where they could purchase native seedlings.

I refer persons to this publication: Sources of Native Forest Nursery Seedlings, by Oregon Department of Forestry. You'll see the Pitkin Forest Nursery, at Univ of Idaho, is among the listed nurseries (see page 18). Folks can also requests seedlings through the Private Lands Forest Network - which facilitates purchase of seedlings for northeastern Oregon.
